Tobias Duke is a Freelance Music Director, Collaborative Pianist, and Baritone whose work spans musical theater, concert performance, and educational settings. He graduated summa cum laude from Castleton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and an Associate of Science in Business Administration, later earning his Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in “Leading Organizational Change.” Blending artistic expertise with a strong background in business strategy, communications, and organizational alignment, Tobias brings both creative vision and operational insight to his work.
Tobias’ credits include roles as music director, conductor, pit musician, and soloist for productions across schools, community theaters, and arts organizations. His work has included Guys & Dolls, Mamma Mia, The Sound of Music, Grease, Guys & Dolls, The Prom, Heathers, Matilda, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Legally Blonde, and The Judy Garland Show, among many others. Upcoming credits include Bye Bye Birdie and Fiddler on the Roof.
Beyond the stage, Tobias serves as Staff Accompanist for Concord-Carlisle High School’s choral ensembles and as Director of Music Ministry at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Attleboro, MA. Alongside a busy freelance schedule throughout the Greater Boston area, he also teaches private piano, voice, and trumpet to students of all ages and skill levels at Needham Music, the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, and After-School with the Walpole Public Schools
In addition to his musical pursuits, Tobias has over eight years of experience in marketing communications, brand strategy, and arts administration for youth-focused and mission-driven organizations. Most recently he worked as Communications Manager at Youth Enrichment Brands—the parent company of School of Rock, US Sports Camps, i9 Sports, and Streamline Brands—leading integrated communications strategies that drove measurable growth in engagement and visibility across the brand portfolio.
As a musician, Tobias is committed to helping others perform at their best—whether guiding a cast through a full production, accompanying an ensemble, or providing individualized instruction in his studio.
As a consultant, he brings the same collaborative spirit to helping individuals and organizations refine their messaging, strengthen their brand presence, and align their teams to achieve shared goals.
